Consumer Protection and Consumer Disputes
The Practice
Forum strategy, procedural discipline and evidentiary rigour are three pillars of a strong consumer case.
Outcomes often turn less on broad allegations of unfairness and more on the choice of the correct consumer forum, the precision of pleadings, and the ability to prosecute matters through statutory timelines and execution.
We advise and represent consumers, businesses, developers, manufacturers, and service providers across District, State, and National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission. Our work spans disputes involving deficiency in service, unfair trade practices, delayed possession in real estate projects, product liability, and medical negligence, with a focus on building complete records at the outset and securing enforceable relief.
Our practice is informed by evolving Supreme Court jurisprudence on pecuniary jurisdiction under the 2019 Act, the continued jurisdiction of consumer fora notwithstanding arbitration clauses, and the strengthened execution framework for consumer orders.
