Public Interest Litigation

The Practice

The firm advises and represents clients in matters instituted in the nature of Public Interest Litigation, a jurisdiction that requires factual rigour and restraint. Our PIL practice is focused on issues of systemic governance, regulatory failure, and constitutional accountability, particularly where statutory obligations affecting the public at large are alleged to have been breached.

We act for corporate, institutional, and individual stakeholders in PIL proceedings where public interest claims intersect with regulatory compliance, environmental obligations, infrastructure governance, or policy implementation. In appropriate cases, the firm also initiates PILs on behalf of individuals or representative bodies, ensuring strict adherence to principles governing locus standi, maintainability, bona fides, and judicial scrutiny.
